Nevada jails aren’t the most pleasant in the country. Many are old and dirty and some were built before Nevada became a state.

Even 24-hours in a Nevada jail should be enough to make sure one doesn’t want to return.

A minimal of medical care is availalbe, meals consist of bologna and bread with a cup of “bug juice” to wash it all down with. Recreation may be an hour in an outside cage with a half-deflated basketball.

Watch television or a movie at night? Forget about it. There’s normally one aged television in the dayroom and what is watched determined by group consensus — which means the bigger, meaner people usually get their choice.
